Let's Talk! (Mandarin)

SLC offers a conversation course to improve students’ ability in Mandarin pronunciation and conversation, with emphasis on listening and speaking. Through studying texts of situational conversations, students will learn standard Mandarin pronunciation and useful expressions of spoken Chinese.

This 48 hours course is targeted for anyone who is interested in learning speaking Mandarin. It consists of 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level. Placement test (speaking) is required except beginner level.

Students will be actively engaged in constant meaningful communication in various contexts. Vocabulary items, various new sentence patterns as well as supplementary words will also be covered. 

After completing this course, students should be equipped with a solid foundation for spoken Mandarin. They are expected to be able to conduct conversations and discussions using standard Mandarin pronunciation and appropriate cultural etiquette.
