CREATIVE WRITING at Sampoerna Language Centre



OVERVIEW

This 30 hours course is designed for people who wish to improve their ability to create creative writing works effectively in English. The course emphasizes three skills:  creative and idea development, writing and grammar usage needed to succeed in creating marketable creative writing works. Awareness of the international standard of creative writing skills in English will be put into practice at all times throughout the course. Vocabulary is also an important focus of the course. This is a full-time, hands-on computer writing course guided by an instructor.


GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of the course is to familiarize participants with the skills necessary to create scripts, screenplays and poems effectively and practically in the international world of creative writing. This course also involves reading, listening as well as speaking. This course provides the skills to develop ideas and creativity, creative writing format, class critics and publishing strategy.

- 9 Styles of Creative writing
- ‘Self’ description, people and past times.
- Grammatical exercises and reviews.
- Using perspective in creative writing.
- Creating colorful characters.
- Building description and incorporate symbolism into your writing.
- Improving your technique as well as resources which will assist in further developing
  your ideas into marketable films and shows.
- Getting some effective methods for strengthening writing style.
- More skills of Creative Writing
