We are looking for Student Advisors, with the following job descriptions and requirements :

1.    Greet personal and telephone callers and find out the nature of their enquiry
2.    Operate telephone switchboards and consoles to connect, hold, transfer and
       disconnect telephone calls
3.    Provide information to assist students or refer them to appropriate contacts, either in
       the organisation or elsewhere
4.    Arrange appointments for callers or for people working in the organisation and keep
       records of these
5.    Carry out word processing, filing, mail-outs, bookkeeping and banking as required: in
       some cases, receptionists send out accounts, receive payments and order stationery
       and office supplies
6.    Open and deal with incoming mail, and organise outgoing and posting mail
7.    They also should assist in the promotion of products and give prices and details to
       students
8.    They are required to have computer skills


Student Advisors are expected to be able to present an appropriate image for the organisation and deal competently with the people and problems they encounter. In education, they may be required to work outside normal hours including weekends and evenings.

4.   Able to work without supervision
5.   Good presentation and a pleasant manner

MARKETING STAFF

Sampoerna Language Centre is also looking for a Marketing Staff


They will have to promote SLC’s products and services. This can involve marketing existing products, developing new products to cater for consumer demand, or developing markets for new products or services.

Marketing should perform the following tasks:

  • Identify and analyse the organisation's strengths and weaknesses, and respond to opportunities and threats in the marketing environment

  • Set goals for market share and growth
  • Develop and implement appropriate strategies by selecting, segmenting and targeting markets, and promoting products and services to those markets
  • Work on developing new products
  • Work out an approach to pricing and set prices for products and services
  • Develop plans for advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling and sales management
  • Undertake marketing audits to monitor sales performance
  • Market and promote all of our in-house and public classes

PART-TIME TEACHERS

Sampoerna Language Centre is looking for Part-time Speakers of English and Mandarin Teachers to teach English and Mandarin in Jakarta.

LIBRARY ASSISTANT

Sampoerna Language Centre is currently looking for a Library Assistant.


They have to maintain, sort, issue and receive library items such as books, magazines, CDs, films and associated records.

The Library assistant should perform the following tasks:

  1. Sort material according to classification or catalogue numbers and return to shelves or other storage areas  
  2. Issue items from library collections to borrowers and record identification data and due dates
  3. Check records to compile lists of overdue items
  4. Issue overdue notices to borrowers
  5. Inspect returned items for damage and make minor repairs where required
  6. Issue identification cards to borrowers
  7. Answer telephone enquiries
  8. Assist librarians and library technicians with information enquiries
  9. Assist with outreach services such as a 'home library' service for people who are not able to visit the
  10. Library due to illness or disability
  11. Operate photocopying machines to duplicate material
  12. Maintain the operations of photocopying machines by clearing simple blockages and replenishing paper supply
  13. Assist in the production of publicity displays and multimedia kits
  14. Unpack new materials and sort mail
  15. Assist in accessing print and non-print materials
  16. Type catalogue cards and labels and file appropriately
  17. Perform inter-library loan functions
  18. Input data to local databases.
