Fluency in spoken English is one of the most important skills to have in English language. Many General English courses look at improving all four skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) as well as paying particular attention to grammar and vocabulary skills. While this is no doubt useful, there is no intensive focus on any one area.

SLC provides five types of English Courses:

  • General English
  • General English Advanced
  • Business English
  • English for Exams (IELTS, TOEFL®)
  • TOEIC®test
  • In-House Training

English Conversation Courses:

  • Let's Talk! (English)
  • Business Talk (English)
  • Win the Job! English for the Job Finding Process

What are the benefits our General English class?

  • The design of our General English curriculum develops all the language skills necessary to communicate and function socially in an English-speaking environment, without neglecting the important role in foreign language development that must be played by Reading and Writing, skills traditionally regarded by some text-books and schools as more passive and therefore less important.
  • While the primacy of Listening and Speaking Activities is guaranteed in our classrooms, we remain aware that Reading is the route by which many students assimilate, and have time to practice or produce accurately, and ever-increasing range of linguistic elements such as grammar, new vocabulary and idioms.
